This monotype will be featured in the show, "Art of the Unique Print" at the Paul Mellon center for the Arts at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Ct, Sept 21 to Nov 18, 2011.

Not water, turpentine. This is oil based etching inks and oil paint.

You make great use of it. I did a few decent monoptints but not many. Just a few where I inked up a plate and then drew on it with a few q-tips.
